La Sierra International School first opened its doors on August 15, 2012 offering a quality education with an international vision and an emphasis on character formation. Currently, it has 453 students between grades K3 and Grade 12, and a staff of more than fifty teachers between nationals and foreigners.
LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE
Established in 2012 as a for-profit organization, La Sierra’s short history has been characterized by academic success, steady progress towards a shared vision, and resilience in the face of challenges. A key factor has been the three Founders’ consistent emphasis on a commitment to ethical decision-making and to prioritizing the human side of school operations and academic life.
The Board of Trustees is a policy-making body concerned with the effective management of resources, the provision of facilities, and establishing and maintaining good relations with the local community and beyond.
